The palate is very well balanced and surprisingly well defined considering the heat of that summer

The fruit bestows purity

with seamless and graceful integration

The nose seemed to have closed down since I last encountered it in 2012

It showcases incredibly lush

Joseph Drouhin, Chambertin Clos De Beze Vintage:2016 The palate is very well(50% whole clusters). An attractively spicy and notably ripe if markedly reserved nose offers up notes of plum, cassis and red currant that are copiously laced with floral nuances. The rich, full bodied and quite serious broad shouldered flavors also possess first rate mid palate concentration along with evident minerality on the driving and powerful if less refined finish. This is certainly impressive but the Griotte has that something extra in 2015.
