the clock hands look like they've been painted gold recently (they're normally brass and so age tarnish)

Plaiting of pale blond hair inside (often that is a child), and no engraving on back. I sometimes use these grouped on a jacket lapel, or clasped over a strand of pearls so many compliments! Very good to excellent condition for age and type. Brooch is 20 mm x 16 mm x 4 mm plus pin back, and garnets are broad face
