Domaine Ratte, Melon à Queue Rouge 2022 Chenin Blanc This is gorgeousPlace: Jura, France Grape: Melon Queue Rouge Vibe: Spicy One of the first wines I tasted from Ratte, on a visit back in early 2022. Nice to finally get our filthy hands on some. There's a shortish maceration here, not for colour but for texture, with the juice fermented and matured in sandstone amphora. And texture we get, allied with plenty of fennel laden spice and exotic fruit. Length for days as well. Wish we'd gotten more now ABV: 14%
