An Early 19th Century Magenta Silk Damask Cushion with Antique Gold Braid (Pair Available) dutch screen printed English silkAn oblong cushion made from a magenta silk damask panel dating from the early 19th Century in extraordinary condition, retaining its vivid, jewel like and unusual colour, with a sweeping and large scale floral and leaf motif. These elongated cushions have been bordered with the fragment's original, old gold antique flat braid and backed in a faded gold silk and cotton mix.
