It closes over the brush roll, holding it in position while shielding the drive area from debris and impact. A cover that cracks or breaks its mounts lets the brush roll shift and exposes the internals to dirt, which costs cleaning contact and wears the drive. A sound replacement cover restores proper brush roll alignment and keeps the
