This vintage rug features a soft, densely woven wool pile. If you look at the warp strands (that poke out on either end of the rug, forming the fringe), you'll notice that they're very fine and kind of kinky, indicating that the warp was hand spun. This is a mark of expertise! Nowadays, with new rugs, the artisans often just use a cotton warp that
