No dents that I can see and the clasp works just fine

and no breaks at all even on the slender neck

One can fairly count on him being a student during the student uprisings, and yet his haircut might be considered the Royalist 'guillotine cut' or 'Titus', which was a fashion sported by those whose family or leaders met the guillotine in The Terror, c. 1770s.
