The composition presents a winter night hockey scene on a flooded prairie rink, with a snow covered road leading down from the foreground to the ice and vehicles parked on either side. At centre, a band of bright light stretches across the ice where a line of players moves through a game of hockey. A pale vehicle is parked to the left of the rink and a red
