Sterling Silver Royal Marines Presentation Oar, 1931 Firstport Thank you for your continuedNotes Large Oar trophy won by Royal Marine A. J. Blackburn. These oars were awarded as presentation trophies for boat races in the army and navy in England. Made of sterling silver, this size is particularly rare and beautifully made. Mne Blackburn won this for being aboard a Cutter sailing vessel race along with his fellow marines. The Marine was a sailor on board H. M.
