“潘壶”的形制融合了“掇球”与“仿古”的特点，其壶身上缩下丰，壶肚圆润，宽厚能容，沉稳庄重，一派雍容气象。

仿古壶的身筒呈鼓型，底部收平底多，肩部必须高耸挺拔才有气势，留短颈，子口呈一线，提钮和盖之间略有颈隙，提钮必须是等比例缩小的壶身形状。在气韵方面，仿鼓壶的气势要有十面张力，也就是一个充满气的牛皮大鼓那样。

容天壶，取材于源于佛教中的大肚罗汉，取名源于“肚大能容天下事”。是中国工艺美术大师吕尧臣首创，因其圆融、大气、朴拙的独特气韵和实用性
