Volan is stiffer than regular fibreglass, this allows the thin tip to flex back to its original position better. This means the fin wont skid out on turns, instead gives a springy feeling to the fin. These fins go great in displacement hulls or smaller stubbies. For bigger surf side bites are recommended.
