It was hand carved out of a solid block of Indian wood, showcasing a lovely hourglass figure. Due to the age of this mortar, it has had some repairs but this only adds to the rustic charm of this piece. The finish shows a beautiful dark lacquer which has started to wear, revealing the stunning raw wood underneath. There is also a metal emblem which unfortunately we cannot
