Large Elm Daybed with Carved Apron Batik Originally used as a hatShanxi, circa 1850 This beautiful daybed would be ideal today as a very large coffee table or against a wall piled high with cushions. It has an ornately carved apron on each side and 'sword' legs supported by double stretchers. The colour and finish are original, worn on the top surface to the richly grained elm wood beneath.
