Again it is a modern design - the Chinese did not use chests of drawers as we did in the west until quite recently - but the classic frame and panel joinery and circular brass handles are typical of traditional Chinese furniture

It comes from Gansu in western China, where it would have been used as part of an internal divider or as a window panel. It would make a wonderful wall decoration today, hung above a console or sideboard.
