This allows you to see the different shades of color in the ice and also wonder how long it has been since some of the ice had pealed off of the iceberg

As we left the calm water of the protected fjords we encountered a couple of icebergs on their own

For this image I used a shallower depth of field which puts the village slightly out of focus the further it gets towards the water and onward towards points unknown

I could have stayed in bed and continued dreaming

but will do so in a few weeks for the season bringing more traffic to the road then what I saw on this day

Evening Along Vancouver Island Reflection This allows you to seeAs the Malaspina navigated the Inside Passage I took the opportunity to explore with some different types of photography. As the sun went down I headed to the front of the ship and took some long exposures as we sailed along Vancouver Island. Using the railing as a steady surface the land around allowed a hint of motion as we turned through the waterways of the passage.
