Painted Wolf Scarlet Syrah 2020 1982 Owned by William Grant &DESCRIPTION Made from 90% Syrah and 10% Mourvdre sourced from the organically certified Kasteelsig vineyard in the Swartland, rooted in iron rich red Glenrosa soils with pockets of shale based Oakleaf on dry farmed bush vines. Grapes were hand harvested in early February 2020, foot stomped due to equipment failure, and fermented whole bunch with ambient yeasts before being pressed straight to barrel for malolactic fermentation.
