Marla Superwash a conversion table for knittingMarla is made from 2 strands of lighter weight yarn, each dyed separately and then plied together. When worked, Marla creates a marled fabric, where the colors are uniquely distributed. The resulting marled yarn can be high contrast tweedy (like Twilight), more subtly Tonal (like Nube), or even have some of each in the same colorway (like Marino). It is hand dyed by women artisans in Manos cooperatives in Uruguay's countryside. Images Courtesy of
