however in late 2010 I was exploring Denver during a snowfall in the city

As like many other cities Missoula does a First Friday Art Walk and for this one I set up my camera outside of Gallery Saintonge during the event

Making multiple stops on that evening I ended up at the Daniels & Fisher Tower along the 16th Street Mall and positioned myself in a location to capture the lighted tree as fresh snow continued to fall in the city

However one particular marking is at the State Capitol where engraved on a step leading to the west entrance and looking towards Civic Center Park is the indicator of "One Mile Above Sea Level"

Right after parking the car and walking towards the park I noticed this scene

Denver from Uptown Size:24"x36" however in late 2010 IThe view of Denver from the northeast is not a common angle you see of the city. On a summer morning I headed to a park in Uptown to photograph the skyline of the city. The skyline looks a little sparse from this view, however it will no doubt be changing in the upcoming years as Denver continues to grow.
