Comte Louis de Lauriston VSOP Calvados 43yo A piece of whisky historyDESCRITPION Comte Louis de Lauriston VSOP Calvados Domfrontais is a blend of Calvados aged more than five years in oak casks. The finest pear varieties are used to create Calvados, to which local apples are added. The crop is harvested at the very end of the season, the fruits are crushed and pressed. The resulting juice is fermented in vats made of wood naturally throughout the winter. When excess sugars are removed from the cider and it becomes dry,
