The 2000 is not especially subtle or nuanced

There is ample structure here as well though it’s largely buffered by all of the mid-palate extract and I particularly like the depth

but it does so minus that delicate floral embroidery that comes forth with such delight in 2013

all wrapped in a classy and very pure finish of exceptional length

The palate is very savory in style with roasted chestnut and ferrous notes infusing the finish that has an appealing rounded texture

Petit Mouton other_regions The 2000 is not especiallyThe 2015 Le Petit Mouton feels a little closed on the nose, which displays pronounced undergrowth and sage like aromas but is not quite endowed with the energy of the excellent Saint Juliens. The fresh, vibrant palate is medium bodied with fine tannin, crisp acidity and fine precision toward the finish, so that it ends on a high note. Tasted blind at the Southwold 2015 Bordeaux tasting.
