At the time of these photos this tree was approximately nine inches tall from the top of the soil to the tallest leaf with a fourteen inch canopy

Large Hackberry Specimen Bonsai Book This tree was started asCeltis occidentalis in bonsai soil, in an unglazed container. Photos taken in February 2025. Coffee mug for scale, not included. Approximately 33 inches tall, the pot is around 25 inches wide. This tree was repotted and trimmed back in spring of 2025. This tree was collected in 2004 and was grown out till it was purchased from the collection in 2021. This has been in this container since 2023 and is filling out nicely.
