it is the safe location to go to if there is an eruption of Kalta

with one who happened to pass by as I framed this shot for today

Walking around in the snow I headed to an area of trees when I saw this one along the lake

A Ship Departing Size:16"x20" Prior to the first playoffI was standing on the Juneau Douglas Bridge photographing the whale sculpture and Downtown Juneau when a Holland America cruise ship departed for the day. I quickly found a view down the Gastineau Channel to capture the cruise ship in the distance with the whale in the foreground. The water feature of the whale sculpture is not constant, thus I waited a few minutes for the water to turn on again and captured this image.
