(1907) Hecla Professor H 16.5ins The labels on the feet

The labels on the feet are mostly worn away

The mohair fur is overall thinned and worn and there are various bald patches

I have found a photo of James George Sidney Renvoize who established a toymaking firm in London in 1894

(1907) Hecla Professor H 16.5ins The labels on the feetProfessor H is a very rare Hecla. He is in excellent condition. He has a good covering of white mohair and a pronounced snout with cinnamon stitching. His ears are set wide apart. His mohair is also in excellent condition for someone of 118 years old. He has a hump back and very long arms, and his glass eyes have painted backing on them. He measures 18". He is mohair, stuffed with woodwool, with felt paws. His paws and feet all have original stitching
