I think this was a factory blemish caused when the top trim was installed to the glass

The dust cover has no cracks and still has the factory Dual logo attached

Fisher SA-300 Tube Amplifier. Recent restoration with high-end components. tubes The AU-999 is functioning wellThis is a beautiful Fisher SA 300 amplifier with recent upgrades and a full service. The couple capacitors were replaced with Auricaps and the troublesome electrolytics were replaced with Panasonic, Nichicon, and similar caps. The original filter caps were replaced with new cans and upgraded filters. The chassis is free from rust and scratches but there is some evidence of it's age.
