The icebergs were quite massive as we navigated through them but also keeping a safe distance in case one was to calf and/or roll

I quickly looked for a foreground element to add for this image and found a pair of floatplanes out at the Juneau International Airport to help frame the image on this September evening

The challenge here was to position myself to capture the color reflection

Today I was in the area and thought about photographing the same scene without the snow

The water would come up to and past the rock and then recede back to the ocean. After noticing this for a little bit I set up my tripod to capture this with a long exposure.
