This is the later Everest dial signed version of the a404 which was made to celebrate the ascent of Everest in 1953

These cases have a reinforcing case ring inside and are quite solid feeling but clearly only dust-proof not waterproof

To be fully overhauled. This example has a 16 jewel movement with the cruciform cut out dust cap. Case numbered 86385 . These c series J W Benson watches were made both before and possibly after 1953. Some wear to the chromed finish. Fitted with azrc calf strap in brown. Fully overhauled.
