Its' flattened body and leaf like appearance allow it to blend seamlessly into its' surroundings, making it nearly invisible to predators. Despite its size, reaching up to 5" in length, it is a gentle herbivore that feeds on leaves. Interestingly, this insect lacks wings and cannot fly, but it can jump a distance of up to 12" to escape danger!
