At the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix there used to be an area that was filled with potted plants and annuals

This particular entrance had a spectacular display of potted geraniums

We have taken to feeding them in our backyard and as a result I have plenty of opportunities to observe them in a natural habitat

This trio was inspired by my weekend trips to the Farmers Market in our town

When the sun sets, the reflected light on the mountains changes them from their daytime colors to these magnificent purples, yellows and oranges.
