It matured for 14 16 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels. The nose is very spicy and oaky, dominated by tones of cinnamon and vanilla. The fruit is in the background and there are also violets, but the oak need to be less prevalent. The palate gives a sweet sensation, perhaps a combination of the excess oak and the glycerin from the alcohol. Deep
