Gusting afternoon winds slow grape ripening, while afternoon sun exposure out riper and more robust flavors than are found in vineyards farther north. Aromas of cherry, strawberry, spices, and hints of toasted oak with some earthiness. On the palate, blackberry, vanilla with hints of sage and toasty flavors.
