Heinrich St. Laurent 2013 sku_2180455 Already the alcohol is tamedFirst go at varietal St. Laurent. Very meaty nose of cured meat and bacon and a sense of smokey wood. Though 6 years on there's still a fairly high acidity, while the wine is quite light bodied. Cherries and blackcurrants on the palate with a very long finish that has traces of chocolate. Austrian red is a first for me and it was pretty good! There were hints of smoke amidst the fruit and accompanied our roast very well
