この茶碗には、薬師寺東塔の基壇から得られた貴重な土が使用されています。この土は、長い歴史の中で奈良の地に蓄積された特徴を持ち、尾西楽斎様の手によって生かされています。歴史的な土の特性が、茶碗の色調や質感に豊かな風合いをもたらしており、茶碗に独特の存在感を与えています。
