This is complex and subtle at the same time. Matured in refill hogsheads has allowed the distillate to shine through in this bottling. The nose shows stewed apple and a touch of spice, apple and vanilla. A wonderful full textured palate shows similar but with a nod of nuttiness and a small hint of wood smoke.
