In the early 1930s she developed a distinctive painting style, characterised by bold colour and clean, clear lines. Best known for her portraiture and landscapes, Angus work was strongly shaped by her pacifist and feminist beliefs. Over a period of 40 years she produced a remarkable body of oil paintings and watercolours,
